OVERVIEW

The Western Cape Tooling Iniative (WCTI) was launched as a fully capacitated section 21 company on 31st October 2006. The core objective of the initiative is to assist SMME's in the Western Cape in achieving the goals of the National Tooling Initiatives (NTI) within the framework of the 5 driving programs.

The WCTI will act as the catalyst and mentor to the Western Cape Tooling Initiative for gaining acces to governmental funding agencies such as the DTI, DST and Merseta in order to define and execute projects for the upliftment of the industry.

Co-operation between the government, TASA, Numsa, Merseta, Universities and Colleges are also high on the WCTI agenda in order to achieve the objectives as cost and time effectively as possible.

The CEO of the WCTI, Grant Stevenson who is also the appointed sectretary of TASA Western Cape, now has a permanent office at the SAS Naval Base, Northlink College, 50101J Diesel Block, Wingfield, Vanguard Drive, Goodwood, 7460.  See contacts for more details.
